So much to do on the north side of Muskegon Lake. Fabulous fishing, with a nice, large fish cleaning station, open seasonally, right by the Snug Harbor boat launch. Great hiking trails through the Park, with various degrees of difficulty, accessible from the resort. Take a walk on the boardwalk along the channel which connects Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan for a lovely evening of watching the boats as well as the sunset over the lake. Michigan's Adventure Amuzement and Water Park is just nine miles away, with group passes available. Many charter fishing options for big lake fishing, Muskegon Lake fishing, and river fishing. Canoeing and kayaking give plenty of opportunities to view the various wildlife in the area. Turtles of all sizes, bald eagles (with a nest close to the resort, which you can hike to and may be lucky enough to see the babies.) Deer, otters, and many other species right here. Truely where "up north" begins.
